This unique course introduces our young learners to an exploration of colour and pattern. The students will create artworks using both woodcut printmaking and collaging techniques. They will create their own designs for blocks, which our in-house printmaker will then carve using printers tools. Students will experience the entire process including inking their blocks and transferring patterns onto their artwork in a carefully selected colour pallette. During this course students will be inspired by important print makers and collage artists as well as artists known for their focus on colour like Albers, Raza and Rothko.
