Out of stockArtists through the ages have been inspired by nature. From Senaka Senanayake’s tropical themes and Henri Rousseau’s jungles to Andy Goldworthy’s transient sculptures and Matisse’s cut paper organic shapes, students learn about these and many more. To enhance the course, students will also enjoy insights into ecology and the importance of biodiversity around us. Stunning footage from Our Planet and other nature documentary series will complement their learning.

Out of stockIn honour of Beatrix Potter the legendary botanical illustrator and inventor of Peter Rabbit we have Peter Rabbit week. Our students will do very simple flower, plant and animal studies and also draw watering cans and spades and other garden tools. Each day will involve a little story telling or a clip from the movie and each art activity is designed to teach the basics of shape, proportion and colour. Of course while our young artists will be inspired by Beatrix Potter, we will simplify the drawings to suit the age.

Out of stockThe Art lab course was designed to introduce our students to the very important concept of understanding the elements of art through small experiments and explorations. The 6 elements of art students will learn about are line, shape, form, colour, value and texture. Each class will focus on one element, first through the work of important artists followed by group discussion and then an activity. In the final weeks students will work on projects combining the various elements effectively in a composition.

Out of stockWe got such good feedback for our course "Art with Books Kids Love" that we decided to do a part 2. This course uses some of the children's most loved books to take us into art making with crayon, paint and collage. Each lesson will begin with reading a short story book and discussing it before we start our art activity. This is a fun workshop that combines two of our favourite pastimes – reading and making art!

Out of stockPresent your thoughts attractively using images and words, understand fonts, sizes, styles and how to choose them, how to design a balanced and effective poster, an elegant logo and so much more. This is not a course to learn tools like photoshop and illustrator. It’s a course on the design thinking that goes on before on executes an idea. A basic understanding of graphic design is important in most careers and no time like the present to acquire these skills. You will use paper and pencil for most of this course and one project using word/power point
